Rev. Dr. Tami Weaver Henry, PhD, is a distinguished healthcare executive, faith leader, community advocate, and lifelong champion for women, families, and underserved communities. Born and raised in Jersey City, she has dedicated more than three decades to public service, healthcare advocacy, spiritual leadership, and advancing equity and justice in the community she calls home.

 

She currently serves as Chair of the Jersey City Women’s Advisory Board, where she has helped advance initiatives addressing gender-based violence, pay equity, childcare access, and economic opportunity. A co-author of Jersey City’s CEDAW Resolution, she has been a strong voice for women’s rights and equality. Rev. Dr. Henry also serves as a Police Chaplain with the Jersey City Police Department and a Clergy Ambassador to the Hudson County Sheriff’s Department, providing compassionate support to individuals, families, law-enforcement officers, and communities experiencing crisis, trauma, grief, and loss.

 

Professionally, Rev. Dr. Henry is the Founder and CEO of Angel’s Care Home Health and holds a Doctorate in Healthcare Administration. Her decades of leadership have included advocacy for healthcare equity, disability rights, older adults, caregivers, and historically underserved populations. She also serves as a pastor at Agape Kingdom Fellowship and holds leadership roles with the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Bergen/Passaic Chapter.

 

Her commitment to survivors and violence prevention has been recognized through honors including the Purple Diamond Award for Domestic Violence Advocacy and the IMAG Media Award for Voices Against Sex Trafficking. Drawing upon both professional expertise and deeply personal experiences with loss and trauma, Rev. Dr. Henry brings compassion, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to healing and safer communities.
